We’re proud to welcome Matt Palmer, High Performance Manager at Southport Sharks, to the UAre mentor team.
Matt Palmer is one of those rare high-performance professionals who blends innovation, empathy, and results. At the Sharks, he’s helped shape a culture that values its athletes’ physical and psychological safety. His work with cutting-edge sports tech, including concussion detection tools like BrainEye, is impressive, but his human-centred approach aligns with UAre’s mission.
“What drew me to UAre is how it brings together purpose and practical support.
It’s a platform that helps people pause, reflect and reset to perform. I’ve seen firsthand how small, consistent check-ins can completely shift someone’s trajectory—whether it’s an athlete bouncing back from a setback or someone in the corporate world navigating burnout. UAre makes that kind of self-awareness accessible and normal.”
Matt will mentor in mindset, relationships, and habits, three pillars underpinning the UAre platform. He sees this as an opportunity to make a real impact across different environments. “I’ve worked across elite sport, corporate teams and grassroots communities—no matter the setting, the need for emotional growth and self-awareness is universal. Being a mentor with UAre means I get to help shape how people think about performance and wellbeing.”
At its core, UAre is a longevity and well-being company, founded in Sydney in 2020 to help people live better and longer. We combine a simple app for individuals with a powerful dashboard for organisations, allowing both to measure and improve across four key areas: movement, mindset, relationships and habits. Backed by expertise in data science, behavioural science, medical research and elite mentoring, UAre delivers measurable returns on investment in human capital.
“Performance starts with mindset, whether you’re an athlete preparing for training, a team leader heading into a big meeting, or a student trying to stay on top of everything, UAre helps you build the habit of checking in with yourself. It gives you that moment to reset and align with what matters most. When you’re in tune with how you’re feeling, you’re more focused, more present and better able to show up at your best.”
Matt’s addition to the mentor team strengthens UAre’s vision of bringing together world-class guidance and scalable technology to support lasting personal and professional growth.
Welcome to the team, Matt.
